During Prayer, before Surah Fahiha, you have to read SANA.... (SUB HAANA KALLA HUMMA. WABI HAMDIKA. WATA BAARA KASMUKA. WA TA'ALAA JADDUKA. WALAA ILAAH GAIRUK).

It's the dua which is called الاستفتاح (es-tif-taah) As irfan mentioned which is 100% correct. There are two more different ones that you can say. Which are the ones our Prophet Muhammed ( صلي الله عليه وسلم ) did. I will not write them here because they are abit long.

Just Google "دعاء الاستفتاح" and u will get them.

Note that if you don't say it , your prayer is still valid and it is a Sunnah to say it

Salam.

After Starting Namaz,You must have to recite Thana before Surah Fatiha..but only in 1st Rakah of Namaz Thana: " Subhanaka Allahumma wa bi hamdika wa tabara kasmuka wa ta'ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghairuka. "

سبحانك اللهم و بحمدك، وتبارك اسمك، و تعالى جدك، ولا إله غيرك

This means: “O Allah {S.w.t}, how perfect You are and praise be to You. Blessed is Your name, and exalted is Your majesty. There is no god but You.”[Only recite this supplication, Subhanaka, at the beginning of the first Rak'ah]
