It is the question which worries me long time. There were many heroes who sacrificed there lifes in the name of humankind. For their children, mothers, country and etc. But they say that muslim only has to die in the name of Allah. If this muslim wants to protect his/hers family no matter what, even he/she knows that he/she will die in this battle what he/she have to do? Die by protecting them or wait till they suffer in the name of Allah? |

Great question .. Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "He who dies while defending his property is a martyr; he who dies in defence of his own life is a martyr; and he who dies on defense of his faith is a martyr, he who dies in defence of his family is a martyr." Meaning of Martyr: shaheed, شهيد Hasana' daughter of Mu'awiyah: I asked the Prophet- Who are in Paradise? He replied- Prophets are in Paradise, martyrs are in Paradise, infants are in Paradise and children buried alive are in Paradise |

Ibn Hajar said, “The meaning of the protection of Muslims being one is that it is equal whether given by one or many, noble or humble; so when one of the Muslims gives his protection to a disbeliever or upholds with him a covenant, then it is not permissible for anyone to violate it. The people are equal in this regard: man or woman, free or slave; this is because the Muslims are like a single person.” [Fath ul-Bari] |
