My touchy child

0	I have noticed that my child is very self centered and touchy about his belongings, he doesnt wanna share his things with other people. I dont like his attitude but before saying anything to him I want to know what is Islams take on this. Is it okay for him to be the way he is or should i preach him about the importance of sharing and caring.
