It is not allowed. We have never heard that Sahabah wished happy birthday to the prophet. The day of someone's birthday must be a normal day and there shouldn't be any birthday parties. Instead of wishing happy birthday to someone, why don't you pray for him? Every day not in his birthday only. Birthdays are Bid'aa |
