I was recently married and at the time of getting marred my husband already had a wife who was currently in Idda. He had pronounce divorce for the second time with her. My husband wasn't working at the time however, his knowledge of the Quran was good enough a long as he taught me what he knew. After being married for a month my husband decided to take not to divorce his first wife, he has once again pronounce divorce for the third time and again choose not to divorce her. So my question is, is this acceptable and is has knowledge of the Quran enough to maintain two wives |

Islam gives a man permission to marry two, three or four women, only on the condition that he deals JUSTLY with them. In the same chapter i.e. Surah Nisa verse 129 says: “Ye are never able to be fair and just as between women....” [Al-Qur’an 4:129] |
