Is it permissible in Islam for one to fast on behalf of their dead parents or loved ones? |

You can't fast or go to Haj for any person. It's clear in the Quran. When a person dies, the file is closed and what he or she missed to do alive Allah is the only one to judge. |

Salam alaikun, we can fast for our parents that have past on, if is that they promise Allah that they ar going to fast some fasting. There was a sawhaba who his mother declare she his goin to perform hajj for a particular year but she pass away b4 that time, so the prophet told him that if she is owing wont he pay 4 her debt , then she should do the hajj 4 her because Allah is goin to question her on it on judgement day. ALLAH knows best |
