What is the meaning of S.W.T and is it compulsory to say it while mentioning ALLAH NAME.What is also the benefit of saying it.i have heard that it is not good to abbreviate 'Sallallu ''allahe wasallam'''also but i will adjust when I know the meaning and how it should be written. ALLAH KNOWS BEST! |

Salllaaamalaikom Rahmatullahe Wabarakatuuuh dear, S.W.T is an abbraviation of Subhanahu wa Ta'ala which means 'Glorious is He and He is Exalted' and it is placed after the name of Allah like so: Allah (SWT), as a sign of reverence. When Muslims are talking about Allah, The Exalted, The Majestic and Sublime and they just type, "ASWT". This is the transliteration of "Allah Subhannah WaTa'ala" as "ASWT". Some people will type the word "Allah" and then put "SWT" as though this is better. But the non-Muslim thinks you are talking about some new "god" named "Allah swat". Aouthubillah. The fact is, all of this is transliteration using the English letters to represent the Arabic, and then taking the first letter to represent the word that the Muslim is too lazy to type or he doesn't know how to spell...
